FAQs

9132714_origWhat kind of fish can we catch?
Targeted fish inshore are Speckled Trout, Redfish, White Trout, Triple Tail but we also catch Flounder, Skipjack, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Croakers and even Catfish. Nearshore species are Ling (Cobia) King Mackerel, Snapper, Bull Reds, Pompano and Jack Crevalle.

Do I need any type of fishing license?
No-my Charter license covers anyone fishing on my boat.

What should I bring on the trip?
Sunscreen, snacks, drinks if you prefer other than bottled water (which I provide).

Can I bring young kids?
Yes, I love to help kids catch fish and get them interested in a sport that is my passion.

How long is the trip?
Until you say “Wow Captain-that is enough fish!” or 6 to 7 hours!

What is the basic schedule?
• Meet at designated boat launch around 5:15-5:30 a.m.
• Fish until 12:00 or 1:00
• Come in – I will clean and bag fish for you to take home

How many people can you fit safely on your boat?
For families with small children, I can take up to 6 people. Please contact Captain Theo to discuss a family outing.

Group Trips
Got more than 4 people? We can usually coordinate a multi-boat trip for larger groups depending on availability.

What about weather and rough seas?
I like to talk to customers the day before the charter to discuss our options. If the wind is blowing or it is raining, I can usually find calm waters but I DON’T DO LIGHTNING!

When is the best time to fish?
I like to get started as early as possible. The best fish bite in early morning hours most of the time.
